Superman has always been my favorite superhero. 

 I would be glad to see Nicolas in this role. What a pity the shooting of the film were terminated. Thank you very much for posting it, Lady Trueheart!

Thank you so much for posting these Lady T - after all these years as a Nic fan finally seeing Nic in the Superman costume is amazing. And thank god it is not another one of those silly mock up Nic as superman things we have all probably grown tired of seeing.

At the time and in later interviews Nic has said he would have turned the classic all american Superman on its head - and played up the alien /otherness aspects - including, I believe, with wild hair mentioned at one point. the way he is looking at his hand in that first photo I can well imagine how he could have brought that whole thing to the role, but as he has said in more recent years, it all worked out the way it should in the end, Superman an all american hero icon and Nic being the Ghost RIder, a super(anti)hero that totally suits his penchant (and hallmark talent) for bringing more complex / conflicted characters.
