Brilliant was a good read. Nic did good work for this film and gave a solid performance. I know why they changed the state troopers name to Halcombe but it seems ironic when Nic says he wants to make the man look good but they changed his name so the regular mass of audience who see it will never know, but they will know he was a true man. Ah, what do I know. It was a good film and they all did well. Thanks for sharing. I know there's more I have to say but it doesn't matter.
I agree, an excellent article that was so interesting to read, from all the participants. I am really happy to hear that the actual victims are remembered at the end, and Vanessa sounds like a very empathetic actor, I have never seen her in anything before, so look forward to seeing her in this movie too. I do enjoy reading little details about filming, such as the moose story, that always makes a movie even more appealing, kind of like the behind the scenes stuff they put on DVD releases. Thanks for posting, Lady R!
Yeah, they were, I sat there and watched it all to pay my respects to the victims. The moose was in the movie but it just came out of nowhere, it was very big though I'd run a mile
That was a good article, 4 days till it comes out here, although it looks like it may not even play in Anchorage at all. I may have to drive to wasilla (about 45 miles) to watch the movie, which is a big bummer for me and the other 750 extras that were in the movie.
I was there that last day of filming and it wasn't -10 it was actually -16....It was a very cold and very long night.
There was another night we almost got killed by a drunk driver in a stolen box truck running up a one way road the wrong way through the set at about 35 mph where a 100 extras and crew, vintage cars, etc were all in the street. he eventually met the police on duty at the other end where the street was barricaded for the movie filming. HE managed not to hit anything but almost got scott walker by about 3 feet, he was in a tent next to the trash can where a case of water had been set, the truck hit the water and water bottles were scattered everywhere as he meandered down the road.
I saw The Frozen Ground is on a limited release. Have not seen it posted in a 50 mile radius of Chicago. Had the same problem with Seeking Justice. They play all these other really STUPID movies that no one cares about, But Nicolas Cage, NOOOOOOOOO. I am really upset about this. I know I have the option of Video on Demand, but I really wanted to see it in a theatre. This is NOT fair.
-16 is sooo cold, especially to be not dressed appropriately and out for long hours, horrors! That must have scary with the drunk driver, Frozen Extra, glad no one was hurt.
I totally agree with you, Royaltraveler! What I don`t understand about that, is, that they does that almost only with Nic`s movies lately! Don`t they realize, that so many Nic-fans are waiting so desperatly for his newest movies to come to theaters near them? And, I think, it`s pretty unfair, that movies from other stars gets more attention than Nic`s new movies! From what I know, is that there is no release date for "The Frozen Ground" here in Germany, yet! Not even a date for a german dvd-release!
