With the Oscars honoring the movies of 2013 behind us, it's time to to fully commit to the films of 2014. The organizers of the Dallas International Film Festival know that, as they've announced the first 10 films for the upcoming 2014 edition, taking place April 3-13.

The headliner of is Joe from director David Gordon Green. Green, who grew up in Richardson, was part of the Dallas festival scene last year when Prince Avalanche played at the USA Film Festival. 

Joe, starring Nicolas Cage and Tye Sheridan from Mud, which played at last year's DIFF, is a drama about an unlikely friendship between an ex-con and a teenager.
